Edith has a broad litigation practice including contract disputes, professional liability disputes, corporate & shareholder disputes, professional discipline prosecution, and bankruptcy & insolvency matters. Edith has appeared as counsel before all levels of Court in British Columbia. Edith has also navigated alternative dispute resolution proceedings including mediations.

Prior to joining Poulus Ensom Smith LLP, Edith practiced at a leading commercial litigation boutique in Vancouver.

Prior to be called to the BC bar, Edith obtained the legal profession qualification certificate issued by the Department of Justice of People's Republic of China.

Edith has native fluency in Mandarin and conversational fluency in Cantonese. She has extensive experience working with Chinese-speaking clients, including immigrants and newcomers to Canada.

Select Works

Successfully defended the enforcement of Chinese judgment in BC

Acted for Ming Sun Benevolent Society in its successful claim against a former neighbour, Philippine Women Centre of B.C. ("PWC"), relating to damage to Ming Sun's building, as well as successfully defending Ming Sun against both a mirror-image claim by PWC alleging damage to PWC's building and a claim by the purchaser of PWC's property relating to the demolished PWC building and alleged business losses.
