Jonathan maintains a broad litigation practice with a focus on contractual, shareholder, and negligence disputes. He also has experience representing clients in commercial arbitrations and regulatory proceedings. He has appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Jonathan joined Poulus Ensom Smith as a summer student in 2023 and jointed the firm as an associate following the completion of his articles in 2025.
Jonathan obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law where he was involved with Pro Bono Students Canada and actively engaged in the student community through volunteer work and student led clubs. Prior to law school, Jonathan completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Victoria.

Acted as co-counsel in a commercial arbitration that resulted in the complete dismissal of claims alleging breach of fiduciary duty and fraudulent misrepresentation.
Acted as co-counsel for Mercy Fall BC Inc. in successfully obtaining a $4.7 million default judgment arising from a Vancouver film production dispute (Mercy Falls BC Inc. (Re), 2025 BCSC 2492). To read more about the decision see here.
